Natural Soda's Plant Expansion

In 2012 Natural Soda, Inc. is constructing a new secondary processing line which, by early 2013, will increase our manufacturing capability to 250,000 tons per year.

The new processing line will be in a state-of-the-art facility designed to produce the highest quality grades of sodium bicarbonate to the latest and best quality standards.

Natural Soda’s expansion effort is multifaceted and designed to improve all areas of the operation. We will again this year drill an additional production well set to further extend our mining capacity in tandem with the expansion of the above ground facilities. “The expansion is not only designed to allow us to produce more high quality sodium bicarbonate with added redundancies, it is designed to de-bottleneck packaging and product loading processes as well as increase product storage.

Our QA and QC laboratory is also receiving an upgrade. This project is truly an end to end approach to creating the finest and newest sodium bicarbonate manufacturing facility in North America”, stated Brad Bunnett, President and COO. “The goal is to harness this world class natural resource with a world class operation to meet the growing needs of our customers in North America and abroad,” echoed Bob Warneke, Vice President of Operations.

The plant expansion combines modern advancements in process design and proven technology
to deliver a best-in class manufacturing operation.
